Welcome to Broadwell & Coalway Playgroup 

Our busy playgroup near Coleford in the Forest of Dean provides sessions for the under fives in a safe and friendly environment.

We offer child-centred, play-based learning, carefully adapted to the age, needs and stage of development of each individual child following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Sessions are run in a two-roomed, purpose-built building based in the grounds of Coalway Infant School. Children have their own enclosed play spaces and access to the school play ground, providing varied opportunities for exercise and fresh air all year round. Children are offered healthy, fruit and vegetable snacks whilst they stay with us.

Our playgroup has up to 90 children on its roll at any one time. Children come from surrounding villages and rural communities within the Forest of Dean. We often support children with learning difficulties, disabilities or who speak English as an additional language.
